Where it all began
Born from a love of classic cars
Bill Rawles started his first classic car restoration business over 30 years ago from his workshop in the south of England, specialising in Austin-Healeys and establishing the Rawles family name and reputation around the world.
Bill sold his first business in 2007 to set up Bill Rawles Classic Cars Ltd, a family venture with sons Charlie and Jack, specialising in all makes of classic car. With Bill firmly at the helm with his wealth of experience and knowledge, Bill Rawles Classic Cars has grown to cover all aspects of classic car restoration, maintenance and sales with quality control and attention to detail of the upmost importance. Bill has been involved in historic motorsport for over 20 years and has campaigned his Austin-Healey 3000 to many podium places. Race and rally preparation, event support and transportation are a growing part of our business.

Experts in classic car servicing
Servicing your car is an integral part of maintenance and reliability, and as a standard we will check all the critical safety factors such as chassis, brakes, tyres, fluid levels and electronics are working as they should, before another year of happy motoring. Whilst an MOT is not mandatory for some classic cars, our safety check should not be a substitute. We recommend testing the car annually and some insurance companies may require a valid MOT, which we can also provide if desired/required.
Choose an option to suit your needs, from a levels service to a full service or a pre-MOT inspection and an MOT.

Jaguar E-Type restoration is making good progress, with the shell stripped down, the car is off for acid dipping this week.
The body and bonnet will return and then into metalwork for panelling and repairs.
In the meantime, the engine, gearbox and rear cradle are being rebuilt and restored ready for when they are needed again.

Apprentice Metal Worker – for someone passionate about classic cars and eager to learn the craft through an official apprenticeship scheme.
Experienced Metal Worker – for a skilled fabricator who can hit the ground running, with experience in MIG and TIG welding, metal shaping in steel (and ideally aluminium too).
You’ll be working on 1950s and 60s classic cars in our warm, bright, and well-equipped facilities, alongside a vibrant, long-established team who take pride in their work and look after one another.
We’re looking for individuals who are:
- Accountable and punctual
- Good communicators
- Skilled and passionate about their trade
- Based locally or willing to travel achievable distances

Sadly, this Austin-Healey has had an unfortunate accident when it hit a deer on the way home from a club event. With the agreement of the owner, we are going to share some photos of the repairs.
The car will be repaired through insurers and we will liaise with the insurer throughout the process meaning the customer has no stress or worries over repairs. If you are unfortunate enough to have an accident, it is your choice where the car is repaired and we will be happy to assist you during this process.

Another good reminder why annual Service / MOT`s are strongly advised, even if you don`t "need one".
This rear spring has broken off the rear outrigger and punched a hole through the floor behind the passenger seat, certainly a lucky escape for all.

From March to October — eight rounds, eight tracks, lots of racing and many stories to be told. The season wrapped up in style on Saturday 04th October 2025 on the @silverstonecircuit International Circuit with the Equipe Super Sprint — a popular finale that brought together over 70 drivers in everything from Cobras, Austin Healeys, TVRs, MGBs, Minis, to Jaguar E-types.
This innovative format featured 10-lap sprint races all day long, with grids constantly evolving to match drivers of similar pace. Every entrant got the same track time — qualifying, three heats, and a final — making for a thrilling, competitive, and fun-filled day of racing.
