Austin Healey 3000 MKIII
Built in August 1965, this well-presented phase-two BJ8 was and delivered the next month to Barretts of Canterbury. Originally painted Healey Blue, the car was restored over the course of a few years from 2007, during which time it was repainted red over white. The car remains in excellent condition since restoration and is an original UK RHD car. The gears are precise and the engine pulls well with the increased power provided from the MkIII engine, over the earlier cars, and a strong brake pedal pulls the car up nicely. This Austin-Healey is ready to go, just as you would expect.
The car is supplied with a folder of history, bills and service receipts. The MkIII is the ultimate Austin-Healey tourer, offering luxuries not fitted to the earlier 3000s and 100s in the way of wind-up windows, walnut dash and a hood frame fixed to the car. With 150bhp from the straight-six engine the car cruises effortlessly with a generous turn of speed when required.
