Austin-Healey 3000 MKI BT7

We are pleased to offer this 1960 Austin-Healey 3000 Mk I, presented in white, for sale. This example represents a well-maintained and highly usable example of one of Britain’s most iconic classic sports cars.
The Austin-Healey 3000 Mk I marked the first iteration of the renowned 3000 model line. This being 1 of just 5,920 units produced in 1960. Powered by a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engine, with approximately 124 bhp and 167 lb-ft of torque when new, providing lively and engaging performance well suited to this characterful sports car.
This vehicle is the BT7 variant, featuring a 2+2 seating configuration. This offers added practicality, allowing for occasional rear passengers or increased luggage capacity. This is ideal for touring and longer journeys. This was originally a left-hand drive car and was converted in the early 1990’s to be right hand drive.
Included with this Healey is a fold up roof, which fits well and is easy to dismantle and stow behind the rear passenger seats. A tonneau for covering the car’s interior when the roof is down, and an assortment of spares and accessories to keep you running out on the road.
Receipts are included from the mid 90’s that show a large amount of body panels were purchased. This indicates that the car has seen some restoration before it was passed onto its current owner in 2006.
In 2016, the car passed through our workshop, where it underwent repairs and repainting of the near-side front wing. Photographic documentation of the process is included within the history file. The vehicle is also accompanied by an extensive collection of invoices detailing parts and maintenance carried out over the past 20 years of ownership.
For those seeking a beautifully presented and usable Austin-Healey 3000, ready to be enjoyed during the summer months, this example represents an excellent opportunity.
