Austin-Healey 100S Recreation

We are excited to offer this Austin-Healey 100S recreation for sale. Built from an original BN1, this Healey is a faithful recreation of a Healey 100S. Built by an enthusiast over several decades, original parts were sourced where possible. The project enlisted world-renowned Healey 100S specialists to assist with the build and research. Whilst we can never guarantee this is 100% accurate, we have looked over this recreation, and it is difficult to find a fault with the authenticity of the build. 

A truly epic car that provides the thrill of a Healey 100 S with a more economical price, you simply would not build one for the value of this car. Created with an emphasis on authenticity, usability and driving enjoyment, Weit Huidekoper who built the car, has a rather credible track record, and he also had his own genuine 100 S that was used as a reference point. This car was commissioned so that he could enjoy everything that makes the legendary 100 S so special in a car he could use and enjoy every day. 

A list of all original 100 S parts used in this build is included in the history documents provided. 

Also included in this sale is a 1:8 scale custom model of the exact car. The tireless attention to detail of this model means it will work brilliantly in any home, office or collection and is a constant reminder and talking point. 

This car was created and owned by Wiet Huidekoper. A race car designer whose career included cars such as the 1994 Le Mans winning Porsche 962 LM, and the 1998 Le Mans winning Porsche 911 GT1-98. The original 100S he owned was his pride and joy, so he created this recreation to honour the car and provide more use and enjoyment for him. 

Since its completion, the car has been well used and enjoyed, developing an honest patina that reflects its history. 

On the road, the car is just as you would expect. Direct and precise, the all alloy construction gives the car a light feel that you don’t experience from the 100/4. The uprated 100S engine provides greater power and 4-wheel disc brakes bring you to an abrupt halt. The car must be seen to be appreciated and those who know Healey cars will appreciate this car will not be for sale for long.
