Austin-Healey 100 BN1

We are pleased to offer this early Austin-Healey 100 BN1 for sale. Finished in Carmine Red with a tan interior, and accompanied by an extensive history file, this is a wonderful example ready to be enjoyed for many years to come. 

This Healey 100 left the production line on 24th June 1954 and was delivered to its first owner on 15th July 1954. An original right-hand-drive example, the car has remained owned in England throughout its life. Originally supplied in Carmine Red with a red interior, the car still retains its original exterior colour, while the interior has since been retrimmed in beige with red piping. 

The current owner has enjoyed the car since 2010, enjoying it regularly. Between 2003 and 2004, the car underwent a comprehensive restoration, giving it a new lease of life. Invoices included within the history file show that the chassis and body were repaired and restored, the body and chassis were repainted, numerous new components were fitted, and the engine was stripped, machined, and rebuilt to a previous owner’s specification. 

This car presents a very sought after 2-piece dash. This is a part found on early cars and is a rare edition to this Healey 100. This only adds to the originality of the car. 

 To conserve originality, the car has kept the original style dynamo and retained drum brakes all round but, it has also been fitted with a modern electric cooling fan. This makes the car equally appealing as an original example to preserve and enjoy.
