We are delighted to offer this 1958 Austin-Healey 100/6, finished in classic red with a contrasting black interior. An instantly recognisable British sports car, the 100/6 combines the character and style of the original Healey 100 with the added performance of its six-cylinder engine.
The current owner purchased the car in 2020 and has enjoyed six years of ownership, including a number of memorable local trips. It has been used and enjoyed as intended, while being maintained and cared for along the way. The history file includes photographs showing previous owners enjoying the car on their own trips, adding a nice personal element to its history.
The accompanying history file also contains extensive MOT and service records, with regular maintenance carried out by a classic car specialist.
Produced between 1956 and 1959, the Austin-Healey 100/6 represented the next development of the Healey 100. Its 2.6-litre six-cylinder engine replaced the four-cylinder unit of the earlier cars, giving the 100/6 a distinctive character of its own. This example is fitted with the desirable 12-port cylinder head, an important feature for enthusiasts and collectors. The model is readily identified by its distinctive bonnet line and characteristic horizontal grille.
The car is supplied with a tonneau cover, hood, side screens, car cover, spare wheel and a small toolkit, together with its comprehensive history folder. It is currently fitted with a leather-rim steering wheel and is also supplied with an alternative wooden Moto-Lita steering wheel.
