Round 1 Austin Healey Hill Climb

Round 1 of The Austin Healey Hill Climb 2015 Challenge takes place on Sunday 19th April 2015. Bill Rawles Classic Cars has sponsored the Healey Sport Hill Climb Challenge for a number of years. We are pleased to be sponsoring the Big Healey Class again in the 2015 Championship.

Gurston Down Motorsport Hill Climb is a hillclimb in Broad Chalke, Wiltshire, organised by the South Western Centre of the British Automobile Racing Club. The course measures 967 metres and rises a total of 43 metres. The first section of the track is downhill, which is a unique feature in British hillclimbing.

The course was designed in 1965 by Tony Marsh and the first competition event was held on 23rd July 1967. The outright hill record is held by Martin Groves, who completed the course in 25.42 seconds on 26th August 2007. We will have to see how the 20 plus Austin Healey Sprites, Big Healeys and Warwick cars timings will compare on the 19th April.

In 2014 Murray Wakeham was overall champion and Trish Cecile-Pritchard was the Big Healey champion. They will be competing to retain their titles and we would like to wish every one the best of luck for the year. Most importantly have fun and stay safe.
