Hill Climb

What is Hill Climbing?

Hill climbing is a branch of motorsport in which drivers compete against the clock to complete a course which is usually uphill. It is also one of the oldest forms of motorsport. The first known hill climb event took place at La Turbie near Nice, in Franc, as long ago as 1897. Shelsley Walsh, in Worcestershire, England is the world’s oldest continuously staged motorsport event. The hill climb, here was first run in 1905 and the course used today is still the same.

If you own a Healey, whether it is a Sprite, 100/4, 100/6, 3000 or a Silverstone and you would like to compete in the Austin Healey Sprint and Hill Climb Challenge please take a look at the beginners guide to Sprinting and Hill Climbing on theĀ Healey Sport Website.
